Retaining Walls

I have over 31 years’ experience in landscaping and specialise in all types of retaining walls from concrete sleepers, block walls, brick and timber walls, we can meet your needs. When it comes to retaining walls I love a challenge. I can transform your area, whether you simply need a plain straightforward wall to retain the soil, to building a retaining wall that gives that wow factor. From splitting levels, staircases, different level garden beds, breaking it up, all types of designs that people didn’t even think was possible, architects and engineers have even asked for my advice on how to make things work. I’ve been in this industry for a long time and there is nothing I can’t do. When it comes to retaining wall drainage or even around the house drainage I believe I’m the best in the business. Drainage is so important from downpipes to overflows in rainwater tanks or even running a whole new stormwater system to the road or to an easement on your property, under the ground Ag line, we can provide. All drainage should be connected to stormwater when possible. All this sort of work to connection, waterproofing and problem-solving Bens Landscaping provides. Making sure you have good drainage is one of the most important aspects when it comes to retaining walls. Footing, anchor points, hold depth and sides, concrete volume another very important aspect when it comes to making sure your retaining wall will last. Staying up to date with all the new products is exciting, I love showing customers the latest things from plain concrete sleepers to concrete sleepers that have the latest designs of patterns, stone face sleepers, block imitation sleepers to timber imitation sleepers. So many designs to choose from. New designs block walls, from Tasman blocks to stack stone blocks, stone face blocks, sandstone blocks to your basic Besser blocks and brick walls. From your smallest garden walls to the larger 800kg stone face blocks and up to your larger 2 Ton sandstone block, Ben’s Landscaping does it all.

Paving

Any type or style of paving, borders, pattern design you wish. Why choose pavers? I love pavers. Paving done properly will outlast concrete for years. Pavers are strong, I’ve done hundreds of driveways even for trucks that will never move, pavers can expand and detract without cracking, which gives them some movement. With todays weather rain, flooding then dry drought, ground can swell up then shrink back, creating a lot of movement. Pavers can be pulled up and relayed without any effort or anyone noticing that it has been relayed, which is helpful if you end up with damaged stormwater, sewer, gas lines or electricity lines. This is especially true around pools with all that plumbing, if something goes wrong you need to be able to access them, or you just want to put new or more facilities in. To me paving is art, I’ve always appreciated a good paving job and the workmanship that go into it.

Gardens

I can transform your yard into a garden oasis. The only limit is your imagination. I always design my gardens to be maintenance free, with 31 years of experience, I will teach you and explain the best way of making it happen. I also own and have access to all machinery to complete any job, from mini diggers for small access site, to bobcat, excavators, trucks for removing large amounts of soil, trees, brick and concrete all at a good price.
